2014 East Atlanta Village Calendar Rolls Out!

It was a wet summer.  I mean stupid wet.  Like it rained everyday.  I’m talking massive amounts of water just falling from the sky.  Anyone remember that?  Anyone?   Well, it happened.   And I’ll tell you what else happened, we made another East Atlanta Village Calendar.  That’s right.  That also happened. Boom. There it is.
Making this calendar was no easy task; just the thought of doing it again took 2 months of deliberation.  But like a cowboy jumping off a cliff onto his horse to ride out and bestow vengeance upon the outlaw who defiled his heifers, we were in hot pursuit!  -Minus the vengeance, the heifers, the horse, and the cliff.
Welcome to the family.

This year’s calendar took a different turn, where last year’s theme was more of a “garage-style / pin up-esque”, this year we moved to a “pulp-magazine / old movie poster” feel.  It’s certainly more detail specific, extra thematic, involves a lot more people, and it took some extra-serious, super-creative brain power to pull off in the short amount of time we had to make it all happen.  We’re proud of this one, it’s badass.
Why did we do it?  Good question, I’ll tell you.  With all the negative things that have happened in The Village over the past year, we saw this as an opportunity do something positive.  This was a fun way to bring the community businesses together, while all the while presenting our neighborhood in a very unique and stylistic way.
